Currently developing custom circuit boards and micro-controllers for CubeSat satellite avionics

• Lead electrical/avionics engineer for the SASA payload on the CAPSat satellite. The SASA payload consists of strain-actuated deployable panels for improved pointing control and jitter reduction, along with acting as a deployable solar array.
• Redesigned the controller of a satellite payload to incorporate additional data collection functionality.
• Updated old payload embedded controllers to increase performance and match existing satellite hardware
• Designed a circuit board to control a helmholtz cage for the testing and calibration of on-board satellite attitude control systems
• Performed extensive hardware and software testing of in house developed satellite payloads

• Electrical team lead for the robot during my senior year. Lead programmer for the Huskie Board microcontroller. The Huskie board was an expansion circuit board for our robots main control unit. We were able to get the Huskie Board approved for sale to other teams by the FRC organization.

Here is a list of my accomplishments during this internship

• The writing and execution of a software loading procedure for a custom built test fixture
• Designed and built a simple serial differential buffer system for high frequency communication to a unit under test
• Helped in assembling and debugging an FPGA based SoC test fixture used for rapid analysis of unit under test reports 
  

• Programmed ultrasound machines for non-destructive analysis of
  vehicle brake-pads, and performed tests for rapid acquisition and
  analysis of ultrasound waveforms.
• Helped to develop and program an automated modular system for
  analyzing vehicle brake-pads using ultrasound.
• Designed a multiplexer system for rapidly collecting data on
  multiple channels through the same A/D.
